Hotel Morning Box Osaka Shinsaibashi

I had a wonderful time at hotel morning box! The amenities, pjs, cafe, staff, etc were all amazing! This was my first stop after landing in Japan and I’m so glad I stayed here. It was my first time bathing in a public bath and it ended up being the highlight of my stay. Great location, quick to go north to Umeda as well as south to namba or tennoji.

I was a little confused if the cafe was open for drinks in the morning because the free flow menu I was shown at check-in said 16:00-22:00 but there were so many amazing cafes nearby it wasn’t an issue!

This is my second time here. The bed was comfy, the sento was wonderful. The staff can accommodate English speaking people.The lounge is confortable, provides free drinks in the evening.Breakfast was really good.Location is close to two stations, that can connect you to most parts of osaka.Very close to the Osaka night life spots as well.

Staff was very friendly and helpful, and all that I interacted with spoke English which was also helpful. The room was spacious with enough room to open your luggage and walk around, and cozy. It took some getting used to having the toilet, shower and sink separate, but everything was good. The communal baths were awesome and you can use them even if you have tattoos. It was in a great location not too far from the main shopping area, with an entrance to the metro right in front. You do have to remember to put the "please clean up" sign on your door otherwise they won't clean the room, Erich I'm not used to, but it was fine. It was decently afforable for the 9 days I stayed there, and if you arrive before check in, they hold your luggage for you. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this place to others. I appreciate their hospitality ?

Cleanliness, Staff, facilities

My neighbor room was snoring and a little noise coming from his room, I think need soundproof wall/partition.

Really loved our stay here. We stayed in one of the Brocante rooms furnished with antiques and eco-friendly products. Everything was clean and well kept. We did not use the public bath, but did enjoy excellent coffee and drinks offered gratis to guests in the afternoons and evenings. Super convenient location a short walk away from Shinsaibashi Station. Staff are very kind and helpful, even helping us retrieve a jacket we had left at a bar nearby after we had checked out. Would definitely stay here again!

It would be nice to have some hooks to hang your bath towels on.

Check-in and check-out process was very simple, staff spoke a decent amount of English to guide us through the processes and give us a brief explanation on the facilities and activities, they were also very kind while doing so. We booked a room with private shower even though the hotel offers the communal baths just because we like our privacy and it was still an affordable options, check your room details when booking to have your own shower. Rooms were small but larger than expected and than other hotels we stayed in tokyo, so a little more comfort there. Location is mazing, really close to multiple train stations (and its mall), convenience stores, restaurants and all the action of Osaka. Would definitely recommend it to any tourist looking for an affordable stay while staying at a decent place.

Beds were a little too hard for comfort but pillows were fine and we slept decently anyways. Nothing else.

Great location, nearby to two different train stations could get anywhere I needed to go really easily.

Without being able to control the temperature in my room I was too hot multiple nights even with both of my windows wide open, even on the nights where I was a comfortable temperature with the windows open all of the noise from the street came in and it was harder to sleep.

Great spot close to the train station and close to major locations. It's clean and there is a cafe on the first floor.

There is no sauna for women, only for men. The bath is not open all day.

Clean, comfortable and friendly

Really great location, super close to Nagahoribashi station, walkable to Shinsaibashi and Dotonbori and all the downtown lights, or can take metro up to Umeda - basically very easy to get anywhere, but a good place to retreat to a few blocks away from the noisiest places. Free cafe drink at night, staff were super welcoming, lounge space was super peaceful on first and second floor. Soft pillows, good wifi.

Building is a bit older, can tell everything's not as new.

I loved the onsen facilities, and it was in a convenient location. It's generally quiet on each floor, as the rooms are relatively noise-proof. They also provide some amenities on each floor, with a shared refrigerator.

They still rely on an old key based system, and the facilities are on the older side. I had to be very careful with the key because if I step out to go to the bathroom and accidentally left my keys inside, I would be automatically locked out.It's a little inconvenient that the only showers were in the onsen facility, which is closed at certain times of the day. If they had separate shower facilities on each floor as well it would be better.

The onsen with the sauna, considering the rating of the hotel, it is a very nice amenity to have. Everything was clean. I also love the complimentary choices of drinks for aperitifs or an early night cap as it can be availed as late as 10 PM. These are the small things that makes your stay more memorable.

There could have been a water station for every floor. I am not sure if tap is drinkable and they do have a service/maxi bar station for every floor which is also very convenient. But no water and they even do have a kettle. The walls are thin which you just hope that your neighboring guests will be more conscious about it. The curtains were hard to operate.

Friendly, clean, great English, we enjoyed the 15 minute Osaka history lesson!

Awsome location, clean room, good breakfast and nice staff

shared bathroom is unisex that makes it a little strange. Not as a bad but something to note the rooms that dont have an in bathroom have to use an onsen style to bathe, shared showers, it is separared by sex but still something to note to people that are not uses to it.

The place has nice atmosphere and the location is crazy

Public Bath that is closed between 10:00 to 16:00And between 02:00 to 06:30,A curtain that doesn't block the light properlyAnd on the top of that the AC is central and you cannot control it at all,If you want to sleep until late go to hell cause the AC is not going to do the job

pros: Everything was very clean, well-functioning air conditioning and it was customisable, lovely staff, good location, convenience stores were very close, easy check in and check out

cons: small room but still fine, the air conditioning can only go down to 20 degrees, bit pricey, no staff after midnight, the shared bathroom was only open at certain times of the day
